I have been testing an Remote Access Software that has been proven to be a real breeze to us. And it is free for personal use and even if you need it for commercial use, the price is not bad at all. Whats sets this off from others, is the price is reasonable and there is no monthly cost like you see on other brands.

There is even an mac client that you can use. On the customer side, lets say you want to help a person install a program, well, all you need is to have the person run this nice application, it doesn't need to be installed, it provides an Computer ID and a password. The Supporter (You) needs that info from the Customer and input that info on your TeamViewer Application and pronto, you are able to even control her Desktop.

It also provides an chat ability and are able to transfer files. The beauty of this excellent software is that it is able to log in quickly, no need to worry about firewalls, etc

Quicksilver is a unified, extensible interface for working with applications, contacts, music, and other data.

Anyone using a computer (and the Macintosh is no exception) spends a lot of time locating files and applications, and then carrying out actions on those items. The Finder is a reasonably good tool for getting a visual overview of the contents of your disk, but it isn't ideal for quickly locating and manipulating files, especially if you have a deep and complicated folder structure, or if you prefer keyboard navigation to using the mouse.

Quicksilver allows you to find what you need quickly and easily, while keeping your hands on the keyboard. For example, if you want to launch an application hidden in the depths of your file system, simply activate Quicksilver with a keystroke, type a few letters of the application's name, then hit Return or Enter to launch it. When you don't need Quicksilver, it keeps out of your way, preserving precious screen real estate, and yet you can summon it instantly with a key stroke - just like Mercury the winged messenger. Actually, Roman mythological texts are remarkably silent on whether Mercury could be summoned with a key stroke, but it would have been great if he could. Quicksilver will certainly make you feel as if you have god-like powers.

Quicksilver indexes and parses selected parts of the contents of your hard drive in the Catalog, so that it locates and displays the items matching your search really quickly. If you are a programmer or an uber-geek, you will be glad to know that you can extend and customise Quicksilver until it does exactly what you want it to. The modular structure also means that the application will never be bloated: You only load the modules that you find useful

It also remembers what you use frequently, most of the time I find its the first choice shown to open an application.

Another great piece of software is called Jing. It also able to automatically capture an screenshot and upload it to a great service called Screencast.com.

Whats really cool, it the ability to capture the link while it uploads to Screencast.com. That way, you can paste into email, IM, etc. It certainly saves a lot of time.

This is helpful if you participate in a lot of forums. Where you are helping a lot by sharing an screenshot of how to fix, or anything on your computer. It also able to capture a video. This is useful if you want to show someone how to do something on your Computer. Click here to see an video of Video Capture.

I believe you can capture 5 mins worth of video of actual task that you are doing, somebody can watch exactly how to install a certain application, change setting, change setting for email, and the list goes on and on. I, for one, participate in quite a few forums, and this feature is really cool..

What I have been using for quite awhile is an excellent tool. Its been amazing one that I wholeheartedly endorse. Imagine an application that automatically syncs files to all your computers. How many of us work on several at a time.? One at work, two at home, an desktop and a laptop. What you will find is that there is a tremendous need to have the same files available anywhere you are, whether at work or hundreds or thousands of miles away. What a blessing it is to be able to log in at work and have the same files accessible. Well, introduce Dropbox. Heres is an Screencast that shows how it works.

Whats great about this is that it works whether your computer is an PC, Mac, or linux. You can still access your files anywhere in the world, as long as you can access the Internet, you can download or even upload files.

As an computer IT person, this has been invaluable for me, since I need details that I can access to. If I am working on a computer, I can log in on the web interface. then download the file I need.

Whats neat, that you can get a free 2GB account. There is more storage available but with a fee which is quite reasonable for what you get from Dropbox. Whats also been a real time saver is the feature of revisions. Lets say, you saved a file and you decided that you didn't like what you have done, well, instead of redoing your work, you can go into the web interface and find revisions, click on revision and restore previous stored revisions of the same file. Although, this is not a feature that I wouldn't use but it can be useful for many.

There is also a photo Folder that you can put your photos in and able to send a gallery link to share it with others.
